Amy has been writing since she was 24 years old, after reading a popular fantasy fiction book series and deciding to create her own. Until that point, she had remained largely musical.
After several years of world-building and playing around with her imagination she wrote her first novel Avaland, which was published in 2018.
Around the same time, she started a Creative Writing degree at Winchester University. It was here that her love of scriptwriting was born.
Torn between two genres, Amy writes Fantasy Fiction for those who want to escape the real world but her screenplays deal with darker, more adult subjects, this, she says, is because it is easier to shoot this kind of story, requiring less of a budget to turn it into a film.
Amy is directing her first short film later this year and continues to write daily. Her new novel The Wingmakers Guild is due for release in the fall of next year.
